Additional protection against electric shock by means of residual current devices or how to read and how to interpret standards
The last edition of standard 60364-4-41 extends the use of additional protection against direct contact on socketoutlets up to 20 A intended for ordinary persons and for all mobile equipment up to 32 A for use outdoors. Exemptions allowed in the standard are formulated so enigmatically, that they are difficult to exploit. The article explains meaning and intentions of derogations and other provisions of standard on additional protection.
