Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure
Abstract
The paper discusses the new technologies used in charging infrastructure of the electrical vehicles. The influence of the high volume EV on global electric power system has been analyzed. The analysis takes into account the increasing demand on power as well on power quality. The concept of utilizing car batteries as energy banks for EV has been discussed. The structure of wired and wireless charging converters and problems of fast charging are presented. Moreover selected up-to-date charging systems have been compared.
